11.664 Terroropfer innerhalb der USA seit dem 11. September
The further progress of the time, the more likely it is that we will experience here in Germany or other European countries or even in the United States a terrorist attack against an Islamic fundamentalist background happens und bei dem Menschen sterben.
"If you make yourself fully aware that the series of attacks by the 11th September about 3,000 people on American soil died, lost the war, the U.S. response, however, several hundred thousand people outside the U.S., their lives, then I have Erlich said more afraid of this possibility in response to future terrorist attacks. "
When it comes to probability theory , then I make my living in Germany as a man little worried, to be victims of terrorist attacks. A traffic accident and other risks of the (dangerous) life are much more likely. This also applies to the United States. There has to be allowed to simply 3,000 victims of the 11 times FACE TO September, approximately 311 million U.S. residents. These figures show that the probability of being victims of terrorism is very, very small, at least in the West.
and I would not say that I the shock, anger and fear, which caused the former series of attacks, can not understand. I myself was shocked and sad. I myself was about a year before that as a tourist on the World Trade Center and then toured the U.S. with two friends, three months from east to south and from south to west and from west to east. Only hatred, revenge and the war in short, the reactions of the U.S. (and its allies including Germany) to these attacks remain for me incomprehensible and irrational. At that time the heart and the compassion to even the U.S. flew first. If this nation would have been able to respond with genuine public mourning to the attacks, instead of war and violence, they had changed the world for the better.
Oh yes ... I'm just saying what I should still continue to write this ...
So we come to the actual point that I want to make by this post:
After the UNICEF-benchmarking study " Child Maltreatment Deaths in Rich Nations "in 2003 in the U.S. die every week 27 children because of abuse and neglect. 2 children die in Germany a week. (To be mentioned This requires that to be sure, not all deaths of children tested in accordance with thoroughly and are these numbers real gone a little higher.) As the violence against children steadily but very slowly decreases, could be something passed down in subsequent years, these figures . Take it anyway as its basis. Accordingly, die in the U.S. each year about 1296 children on the basis of (mostly parental) abuse and neglect (and this is just the tip of the iceberg of terror in the form of maltreatment, abuse and neglect). They are from 11 September 11 664 (that is just about 9 years expected) by most parents' terrorist murdered children! Nearly four times as many people as on 11 September perished. In Germany, therefore, came to the same period by about 864 children. These sad events led, however, does not mean that the "special forces" from combat helicopters in the manicured gardens of suburban USA abseiled to carry out raids and to extract confessions. Also, no bombs may be particularly suspect (very rich family) places were dropped. Ultimately was not even much reported on these numbers and talk.
The events of 11 September was a shock. And the pictures amazing. Several trillion dollars have been spent in order for the unnecessary and brutal wars. Thousands People died. Is that understood? not rational. Emotional even if the thousands of victims are seen as a "poison container" for the emotional problems (split-off traumatic experiences in childhood) of the United States and Europe. The victims thus fulfilled an emotional sense. None are, however trillion to ensure that children are protected in their own country, even though this action would make a lot more sense and the threat is very real and much larger. One would then, however, also an evil enemy and no casualties and no reenactment of traumatic experiences and would not destroy yourself ... The above figures about the countless victims of terrorism (mostly) parents should This detached and somewhat irrational response back again in a different light. I do not know if it is clear to me what this is. I suspect however, that in future I will refer to this text must, unfortunately.
I have of course a much better idea, but I hear no to yes. Why not just billions of dollars in child protection invest (even international) (and to terrorist attacks with sorrow, rather than react with military action)? That would make sense today rather than tomorrow.
Again my conclusion in clear terms: in the future will die with us people from terrorist attacks. We should put our fears in the result and not with killing other people or other destruction of democratic structures to respond.
(By the way have been recorded 1990-2010 in Germany 137 fatalities right violence . Again, this did not lead to lifted reactions and multi-million dollar military operations with many random victims.)
